Accountability Beyond Punishment Workbook

A webinar on transformative justice with organizer and transformative justice facilitator Camila Pelsinger Villalba

🗓️ Thursday, February 12, 2026
⏰ 6:30–8:00 PM ET
💻 Online via Zoom

Join Interrupting Criminalization for a virtual session on transformative justice with organizer and transformative justice facilitator Camila Pelsinger Villalba.

How do we practice transformative justice without re-creating the oppressive dynamics of carceral systems? How are TJ outcomes distinct from punishment? Even as we work to build accountability beyond punishment and disposability, we may find ourselves slipping into familiar patterns. This “Accountability Beyond Punishment Workbook” grew out of years of interviews and workshops with TJ practitioners grappling with these tensions. It was designed to spark generative conversations about how to align TJ practice with our principles.

This session is for people who are practicing or curious about transformative justice, survivor support, and community-based responses to harm—no prior experience required! Together, we’ll explore a framework of spectrums that can help orient these conversations and to discuss how you might use this tool in your own work and communities.

The session will take place virtually on February 12, 2026 from 6:30-8:00 PM ET. We will offer ASL and live captioning. Attendees will receive the Zoom link the day of the event.
