Communiversity 2026 Session
First Aid for the People
Facilitated by Philly Action Readiness Collective and Action Readiness Collective NYC
October 17
1 to 4:30 PM
About This Session
“First Aid for the People is a class meant to introduce basic first aid/street medical knowledge to the masses. This includes but is not limited to situational awareness and assessment, basic physiology, communication, CPR, stop the bleeding, and overdose reversal.
We ground our teaching in our revolutionary politics and in the tradition of movements such as the Lincoln Detox People’s Program and all those who recognized that health/care is a terrain of revolutionary struggle. Seize the hospitals! Serve the People!”
About Philly Action Readiness Collective and Action Readiness Collective NYC
Action Readiness Collective of NYC (ARC-NYC) is the sister organization of the Philly Action Readiness Collective (PARC). ARC-NYC is a revolutionary skill sharing group committed to spearing knowledge and skills throughout NYC movement spaces. Our goal is to unite various advanced sections of the broader progressive movement to develop our technical skills together, and to disseminate these skills out to the wider movements and communities we live, learn, and organize in.
We are not experts nor do we claim to be qualified to bestow any kind of certification upon anyone; we recognize that there are vast networks of skills in our communities that can and must be collectivized and shared. Our goal is to facilitate this sharing and begin the process of developing ourselves as skilled, competent, and prepared revolutionaries, and through our preparation, build greater social and political cohesion.
